The latest 4th edition refers to the appearance of the first version of the model. Compared to the classic version of the model (without GTX), it not only uses a membrane, but also the upper is equipped with a higher inner sock reaching to the ankle. Durable mesh also ensures breathability. A completely new collar cover prevents dirt and water from entering the shoe.

The heart of the shoe has not changed, i.e. the midsole, which uses Nike React foam, already known from the previous version of the model. It provides good cushioning and, at the same time, dynamics. Light and durable foam has been placed along the entire length, which also ensures stability on rockier surfaces.

The model was designed for mixed surfaces, which is why less rubber is used in the outer sole. This ensures smooth transitions from paved roads such as asphalt to trails and vice versa. A special tread pattern guarantees traction both when running uphill and downhill.
